About
Level 2 Award in Therapeutic Fostering (TFQ) What Is The Therapeutic Fostering Qualification? The Therapeutic Fostering Qualification is a Level 2 Award that is accredited with NCFE CACHE, a nationally recognised awarding body. This qualification is designed for Foster Parents and Supporting Professionals working within Fostering Agencies and working towards creating a Therapeutic Ethos. The Centre of Therapeutic Parenting Studies at Inspire Training Group, part of The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma, has created this qualification as a Therapeutic Parenting program. The course aims to cover all the essential information needed to complete professional development training, including the AWIF standards in Wales and TSD standards in England. It also includes the SAfE parenting therapeutic approach, which stands for Secure Attachments founded on Empathy. This approach is based on the PARENTS model of Therapeutic Parenting, developed by Sarah Naish in 2017. The model helps parents understand the underlying causes of their child's behaviour so they can respond consciously and rationally instead of emotionally.
